I am desperately jealous of this picture taken last week by another Vermont resident, vtpeacenik, as I am still unable to catch a photo of the blue bird in my back yard. We are covered in beautiful wet snow today, and I am still without my camera. gs will be picking up my camera from Burlington on Friday.

I didn't even notice that. I was thinking about setting out a pretty bowl of food for my blue bird, but I think that the skunk living in the woods behind my house might get to it first. That might be a nice shot, "skunk in snow".
blue jays love peanuts. set out a bowl and I guarantee you'll have quite a few. Plus, I doubt skunks would be attracted to something with a shell, but I could be wrong.
