What's in a name?
I have always loved name books. I have a baby name book that my students use to find out the meaning of their names for their autobiographies. I also have a great pet name book, which I used to name Sol (son god in Roman mythology). Anyway, I found a site called Baby Wizard, which tracks the popularity of names on a cool graph. You can see the popularity of any name over time. It is interesting to see how alot of old fashioned names have recently had a dramatic rise in popularity. Rachel spiked in popularity in the 1980's, and is currently sitting at number 38. Not too shabby.
