Prom at the Moulin Rouge

Some people only get to enjoy prom once or twice, but teachers get to go over and over again, aren't we lucky? I was surprised the parents did not have a problem with the Moulin Rouge theme. The event was held at the Inn at the Round Barn Farm, an old converted three story barn with an attached Inn. It made for an interesting set up. One of my boys made all the costumes for the "Can-Can" Barbies that decorated the tables. I would love to show you some of the outfits the kids wore, but can't for privacy reasons. I especially enjoyed my role as the downstairs coordinator, this meant I was in charge of keeping kids from sneaking outside to have a drink in their car.

Instead of prom favors, the kids decided to donate their money to an AIDS research fund. Teenagers here are really something special. Can you tell I am getting sad about leaving them?

yes mam, my mom cut the strings off the front, and sewed in the seam at the collar, I love it! I wore a gold shirt under it, and everyone thought I was naked underneath at first, I created quite a stir when I first got there.
