Back to work if you can believe it!

Even though most of the schools in the state are still shut down today, our district decided to go for it! The ride in was a little dicey but at least 2/3rds of the staff and students made it in. Even though I wanted to stay in bed, I am glad to have one fewer day to add on to the end of the year. I know I am going to be itching to get out of here by June.

I did get a call from the Suffolk school district, they want me to come to town for a few principal interviews the first week of May, I will likely be doing the same thing for Chesapeake. I am going to hold out for a little while before buying a plane ticket, I am still hoping for a magical call from Norfolk about a job in their career program. I have been discouraged so far about the jobs I have seen working at colleges in the Norfolk area, so far every job I have seen in my field pays about 8-10,000 less that I would make at a high school. I am not shallow, but that is a big difference. Still, I am encouraged by the call from Suffolk. I feel like I am making progress!
