Day of Resignation
Over the weekend, I started filling out online applications for the various school districts in Hampton Roads. I went back to work today, it's very cold but the freezing rain passed through last night. While I was giving a mid-term for my Career Class this morning, my Principal came by and pulled me out of my class. I thought he was going to tell me about an emergency at a student work site, but no. Apparently, Chesapeake had emailed him to request a reference, for the application I completed on Saturday, and he wanted to know if I was leaving my job!? I apologized to my boss, told him I had planned to tell him in our afternoon meeting, etc. He said he would speak with me later, and I went back to my class. After stewing over things for about three hours, we finally met. It turns out he was not mad about the email, just upset that I am leaving. Phew! I am looking forward to coming back to VA, but I am really sad about leaving my job. In particular, I will miss my boss and program partner.
It's days like this that I really miss being a smoker. I

On another note, I read Greg's review. Yes, the best one yet.
Thanks Suzy. Now we just need someone to smoke for you...
